About Your Instructor

An entrepreneurial sales and marketing executive, Amy Welsman’s experience spans working with Fortune 500 firms at a global advertising agency to leading marketing and sales at a high growth startup. She is passionate about implementing brand strategies and forming strong relationships with key retail and brand partners. Welsman excels at identifying emerging markets, and generating revenue through various channels. Welsman’s specialty is wholesale strategy, and her focus has been in both the outdoor and niche sports markets which include fitness, outdoor lifestyle, equestrian, yoga, and running. As a member of the founding team at Knix Wear, Welsman managed and grew the wholesale division from the ground up, securing over 250 retail partners, including national accounts such as Hudson’s Bay, and Mountain Equipment Co-Op. In early 2017, Welsman left Knix Wear to start her own independent consultancy. Welsman’s services range from optimizing and growing existing wholesale channels for brands, to consulting and creating new wholesale growth strategies. Welsman has spoken about crowdfunding, brand strategy and entrepreneurship on various panels, including at the Queen’s University School of Business.
