About the Speaker: Selema Masekela is a beloved commentator, journalist, musician, and producer best known for his work presenting NBC’s Red Bull Signature Series; ESPN’s Summer and Winter X Games, which he hosted for 13 years; his cultural reporting in South Africa during the 2010 FIFA World Cup; hosting E!’s Daily 10; and co-founding Alphanumeric in 1998. In addition to his hosting, producing, acting, writing, fashion, and voiceover work, Selema offers his name and time to the charity he co-founded, Stoked Mentoring, a nonprofit action sports organization for at-risk youth and also serves on the board of the Tony Hawk Foundation. About Professor Mike West: Michael Akira West (Mike West) has been involved in the branded consumer product space for nearly 30 years. He founded 686® technical apparel in 1992 from a business plan as a student while enrolled in the USC Entrepreneur Program. Since then, he’s co-founded and owner of several other lifestyle business’s in the Fashion, Digital and Logistics industries including Matix, Westwell, MAEKAN and NRI Distribution, which is the largest North American 3PL provider in the Action and Outdoor Market. Mike has a BS from the University Southern California, EMBA from Pepperdine University, sits on the executive board of Snow Sports Industries America, is an Adjunct Professor at USC Marshall Business School and an avid Surfer, Snowboarder, Runner, Yogi and Explorer.
